Luke was forced to grow up extremely quickly and basically had zero support from his party in doing so outside of Tear (who realized she went too far with her dumbassery at Akzeriuth) and Guy (who realized the same thing). I wanted there to be a scene where the rest of the group realizes that they are a gang of fucking morons when it's revealed that Luke is a replica.īecause he was never taught the things he needed to really know AND he hadn't had the luxury of learning them naturally over time, in terms of mentality you've basically been talking to a child in a teenager's body the entire time and expecting him to know things that most 7 year olds don't have any notion of. Certainly not someone that I believed would have this amount of empathy.
